Bronze Bolt Action Pen

Our most popular pen, by far, over the past 8+ years is the Titanium Bolt Action Standard. It's the perfect length, weight, and feel for a true everyday carry pen. One that can live in your pocket for years and still look good as new. If there's one pen we recommend more than any other without disappointment, it's that one.

Each length ships with a refill sized to fit it. The Standard comes with a black Pilot G2 0.7mm, the Short with a black Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium, and the Mini with a black Pilot G2 Mini 0.7mm. Plenty of customers swap in a personal favorite and our pens accept a wide range of "Euro Style" for Standard lengths and "Parker Style" for Short lengths. Every material is machined to the same shape and tolerances. What changes is how the pen feels, ages, and weighs in your hand.

• Titanium – tough, lightweight, extremely corrosion resistant. Our best-selling, do-everything material and the easiest first pen. Offered in Machined, Stonewashed, and DLC finishes.
• Copper – naturally antimicrobial, hefty, and it develops a patina that darks with time and use. Basically, it ages with you which many people love but, if not, it can always be polished back to shiny.
• Bronze – a copper-tin alloy that machines beautifully and patinas like copper. It's on the heavy side and the character deepens the longer you carry it but can be polished to like-new.
• Zirconium – corrosion resistant with the look of a dark gray titanium. Rare, tough to machine, and made in small quantities but no doubt an exotic pick.

Titanium is the lightest, copper and bronze are noticeably heavy. Exact weights are listed on each product page under the Specifications.

Every once in a while we do small runs of Lefty Bolt Action and Lefty Slim Bolt Action pens where the bolt is moved to the other side of the pen so it stays clear of your grip when you write left-handed with everything else staying the same. If that's something you're interested in and they're out of stock, enter your email in the "Notify Me" field and you'll automatically receive an email when inventory is added.

Same pen, thinner body, different clip. Both use our satisfying Bolt Action mechanism, the same machined texture, and the same lengths. The only difference is the diameter measuring at 0.43" across for the Bolt Action and 0.365" for the Slim Bolt Action which also makes it slightly lighter. Because of the thinner profile, we use a milled titanium clip secured with a screw and hidden post on the slim versions. Reach for the Bolt Action if you like a bit more to hold onto or the Slim if you want something that carries lean and disappears into a pocket. Everything else like the action, texture, and Lifetime Warranty are identical.
