Based on the Magnus ClickShift™ V1, our version is rebuilt from the ground up to simplify production, tighten up the action, and improve the overall feel. The three-piece mechanism is machined grade 5 titanium and a C63000 bronze actuator switch to provide a smooth action while maintaining durability. It's the same diameter as our other slim pens and same refill compatibility as our short length. Enjoy!

How did this come about?
We first reached out to Magnus about the ClickShift pens he was making a while ago when the V1s were out of production and he had plans on making the V2s. We followed up in early 2024 to see if he'd be interested in licensing the mechanism and, thankfully, he agreed. We think the mechanism is one of the coolest ones around and we're excited to bring our version in production.
What do you look for in mechanisms?
When Will saw the Mitsubishi Boxy pens a few years ago he immediately wanted to do an all-metal version so we made it happen with the Side Click. Since then, we've been on the lookout for mechanisms that meet three basic requirements: 1) Manufacturable, 2) Reliable, 3) Satisfying/Fidgety. It's fairly easy to get one or two of those things but much harder to do all three.
Why just one length and diameter?
We're keeping things simple for launch with only one size and material. This mechanism is a little longer than the Bolt Actions or Side Clicks so we felt it'd be too long if we did it in the Pilot G2 size. We might do other variants in the future but, at least for now, wanted to gauge interest with titanium.

I like the movement and writing a lot. The weight and size are perfect as well. It lost some stars from me tho for 2 reasons:
1: Pen clip is way too tight. I couldn't even get it around a single piece of paper. I sanded it and it better now. But its not lost the engraving on the inside.
2: Towards the tip of the pen the standard refill is loose and makes a rattling sound.
Still love the pen and will be my daily driver for the foreseeable future just wish these two problems would be worked out

I wanted to try a Magus Switch-click, but they are super hard to find, and expensive. I read some reviews that Tactile Turn not only made one, but it was better than the Magnus. I am no stranger to TT, I have purchased several pens, including a very early click pen that malfunctioned, and they made it right, sent me out a new, fully working one. Been a fan ever since.
This pen is quite unique, and I have fallen in love with this method of extending/retracting the refill/point!
This action is VERY smooth, and it IS addictive to click and play with other than just a writing instrument!
The other thing it sold me on, is the slim series in general, this is the first slim version of any TT pen I've had, and I like it way more than I thought I would. In fact, just picked up a Cu side click (not here, sold out), and love that one too, although the action is a bit more stiff than I am used to from the full size side clicks.
It got a lot of attention and looks from co-workers as well, who were quite impressed with the design and function of the pen. I recommend this pen to anyone looking for a unique and fun pen. I did not keep the refill it came with, but rather replaced it with the excellent OHTO Ceramic Roller Gel PG-M05NP black G2 needle point refill.
(Parker style, not the Pilot G2), and that to me at least is a huge improvement in writing with this pen! Your milage there may vary, but I love it in this pen.
I'd love to see other materials (Cu, Brass, etc) later…
