In the past we made modifications to the pen to fit specific, quick-drying ink refills but this version is the exact same as our right-handed models except... flipped. The Standard [5.6"] comes with a Pilot G2 0.7 mm refill, the Short [5.1"] comes with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium refill, and the Mini [4.4"] comes with a Pilot G2 Mini 0.7mm refill. Many of our customers like to use their own personal favorites, however, and so we put together a list of compatible refills that work with our pens.

    Well made, easy to use and writes well. What more can you ask for from a pen. This one was for my EDC pouch and I love the size, feel, and general appearance. I will be buying more.

    Excellent pen

    Bought one for myself a year or two ago and one for my father just recently. We both love these pens. Perfect size, distinctive style and durable materials, exquisitely machined.

    Only drawback: I don’t know if it’s my altitude or what, but the ink cartridge it comes with – the Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 – gives me many issues; the ink will write fine for one word then just randomly stop flowing on the next. Tried warming and shaking, but nothing fixed it. Thought maybe I just got a dud, but no, a new pack of EasyFlow 9000s gave me the same issue.

    Uniball Jetstream SXR-600 cartridges are miles better than the Schmidts.

    A great pen, love to use it

    The pen fits my needs to a T. Enjoy using it to journal or write down To-Dos. I will be buying another pen from Tactile Turn in the near future.

    Excellent pens but…

    Would love to see Lefty Slims in brass as well, particularly the 5.1” refill size. I periodically check back in to see if they have any indication of a release. But as far as craftsmanship, they are top notch.
