Because the surfaces of both the interior part and the inside surface have been carefully machined to be extra smooth, the action feels amazingly satisfying. The Standard [5.6"] comes with a Pilot G2 0.7 mm refill, the Short [5.1"] comes with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium refill, and the Mini [4.4"] comes with a Pilot G2 Mini 0.7mm refill. Many of our customers like to use their own personal favorites, however, and so we put together a list of compatible refills that work with our pens.

And there are four options to choose from: titanium, copper, bronze, and zirconium. We picked those four because they're popular, fun to machine, and can withstand a lifetime of use.

TITANIUM

Tough, lightweight, extremely corrosion resistant, and the best-selling material we work with. If this is your first Tactile Turn product, we recommend starting with titanium.

COPPER

One of the few metallic elements with a natural color other than gray or silver. Naturally antimicrobial, copper will patina and darken with time and use.

BRONZE

Consisting mostly of copper, tin, and other metals like aluminum, manganese, nickel, or zinc. Bronze machines beautifully and looks great when highly polished or with some patina.

ZIRCONIUM

Directly below titanium on the periodic table with similar corrosion resistance. Zirconium is difficult to machine and one of the most expensive materials we work with but lustrous, dark grey color looks amazing.

    The pen itself is great. Good weight and hand feel, and most importantly, smooth ink flow. The ONLY negative is how difficult it was to unscrew the tip. The titanium is sharp enough that it actually cut my finger open trying to turn the threads.

    Worth it

    I enjoy the feel and fidget-factor. Plus, at this price point, I don’t let it out of my sight . Investing in a good pen encourages one to keep close tabs on it.

    My new favourite Pen(s)

    I originally purchased the WOE edition version (Watches Of Espionage) of this pen not knowing Tactile Turn made it for them. Eventually found Tactile's page and ordered the shorter version. So I have the standard and short version in Ti. Both are awesome, both fit well in the hand. It's crazy light, comfortable to write with and the ink cartridges are easy to replace. I do prefer the shorter version, but again no issue with the standard, both are so light and easy to write with.

    I plan to order more in the other materials as well. Love the different materials they work with. Highly recommend and these would make fantastic gifts for those folks that need pens for daily use.
