Because the surfaces of both the interior part and the inside surface have been carefully machined to be extra smooth, the action feels amazingly satisfying. The Standard [5.6"] comes with a Pilot G2 0.7 mm refill, the Short [5.1"] comes with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium refill, and the Mini [4.4"] comes with a Pilot G2 Mini 0.7mm refill. Many of our customers like to use their own personal favorites, however, and so we put together a list of compatible refills that work with our pens.

And there are four options to choose from: titanium, copper, bronze, and zirconium. We picked those four because they're popular, fun to machine, and can withstand a lifetime of use.

TITANIUM

Tough, lightweight, extremely corrosion resistant, and the best-selling material we work with. If this is your first Tactile Turn product, we recommend starting with titanium.

COPPER

One of the few metallic elements with a natural color other than gray or silver. Naturally antimicrobial, copper will patina and darken with time and use.

BRONZE

Consisting mostly of copper, tin, and other metals like aluminum, manganese, nickel, or zinc. Bronze machines beautifully and looks great when highly polished or with some patina.

ZIRCONIUM

Directly below titanium on the periodic table with similar corrosion resistance. Zirconium is difficult to machine and one of the most expensive materials we work with but lustrous, dark grey color looks amazing.

    A really great pen

    It took me awhile to review this pen as I received it as a Christmas present. This is my first TT pen and my second bolt action pen. What made me finally get this pen, as I researched the heck out of it, was the customer service I received from Tactile Turn. I went and visited the TT facility and met with customer service to see if I could see the pens, compare sizes and weights before making this purchase. They were able to help and assist every way possible. The people that work there are passionate at what they do and want to help anyway they can.

    This pen is amazing. The fit and finish is superb. The pen is not as heavy as my other bolt action. The other thing I wanted to mention is when the bolt is allowed to retract, without my holding the bolt on closure, is it is not as loud as I expected it to be; it was quieter than I expected.

    The tactile feel, with the grooves on your hand, makes it feel like the pen will not slip out.

    Overall, I am really pleased with this pen and glad I made this purchase, even as a Christmas gift. Customer Service thank you for your time, help and patience with me in guiding me with my decision. A
