The Crew Pen Number 1 (CPN1) is a special everyday take on your favorite pen with a few subtle markers pulled from the world of The Grey NATO. Produced in collaboration with Tactile Turn, makers of precision-machined pens from Texas, the CPN1 is built around the brand’s beloved Titanium Side Click platform and is designed to embody the same blend of durability, fuss-free readiness, and thoughtful detail that defines The Grey NATO’s ethos.
The CPN1 retains the rugged, bead-blasted titanium body of the Side Click series but features a unique custom camo pattern on the pocket clip, adapted directly from the packaging of CWC CWN1 LE watch project (a custom design from our friends at Stay Calm Industries).
This is a pen made for enthusiasts of well-made tools — something you’d carry on assignment, at a dive site, or while journaling over a camp stove. Each detail reflects the podcast’s adventurous tone and the visual DNA of its previous collaboration with CWC Watches.
This subtle, razzle-dazzle-inspired camouflage offers a bright orange pattern over the titanium base of the pen's screw-secured pocket clip. Further bright orange accents add a nod to the show's love of both the color and its application in diving and adventuring.
The Crew Pen Number 1 is conceived as a companion piece to the CWN1 (Crew Watch Number 1) collaboration with CWC. The CWN1 was built as an easy and useful companion for your next adventure, and the CPN1 is no different.

All-Metal Construction
Machined entirely from Titanium and built using our popular Side Click mechanism, the CPN1 features a stonewashed, matte gray body with Cerakote and laser engraved finishes. The action is incredibly satisfying in both feel and sound that's durable enough to withstand a lifetime of use while still being good enough to pass on to future generations.
Custom Cerakote Finishing
Cerakote is a thin coating of ceramic that's applied to the surface of our titanium pens. It's abrasion, chemical, temperature, and scratch-resistant but not proof. Wear will show with time and use but, you know, using it is kind of the point.

Absolutely love it. I have arthritis in my writing hand and I’ve always had an issue gripping a pen as my hand starts to sweat. The grip on this pen completely solves that issue for me. Plus, it looks amazing!

I’ve been using it daily for about two months and love it. The build quality feels solid and precise. I love how you can’t see the seam where the tip threads on. I also love the texture of the barrel—an almost imperceptible threading. I’ve tried several other cartridges beside the pilot 0.7 and I love the versatility. I’d buy it again.
