We usually only make small parts from titanium Damascus because: 1) the material is so expensive, and 2) the material comes in rods that aren’t perfectly round. This creates a fun game of trying to hold the material and drill straight holes. If we drill short holes it’s no problem but making the bodies of these pens is a different story. We recently found a local, centerless grinding shop that helped us turn the rods into properly round and consistent pieces of metal. This means we can grab the rod very accurately and do deeper drilling without as many issues. We'll definitely be doing more of these in the future, but for today, we only have one of each size and they are absolutely stunning.
