The oceans are home to a vast array of unique marine life with the deepest point being a full mile deeper than Mount Everest is tall. Pushing the boundaries of human capability, ocean exploration involves requires advanced technology, careful planning, and, of course, an adventurous spirit. This is the first Seasonal built on the newer Standard Diameter Switch Pen and features a unique mix of blue tones, reminiscent of the waves above and currents below the surface and finished with a top layer of “Typhoon” Cerakote FX to add a subtle teal shimmer. The bronze toggle switch evokes materials commonly used in marine applications while the black DLC clip and iconic Mark V Navy dive helmet engraving complete the look.

Take the plunge

Borrowing a painting technique (and name) from the Deep Space Seasonal Release back in early 2023, the Cerakote team did a fantastic job channeling the watery depths. Each pen is completely unique with subtle flecks, swirls, and blends that seem to move or glisten depending on the light.

Custom Cerakote Finishing

Cerakote is a thin coating of ceramic paint that's applied to the surface of our titanium pens. It's abrasion, chemical, temperature, and scratch-resistant but not proof. Hard wear will still show on Cerakote but we love that it gives us the ability to put colors on our pens without adding any serious weight or thickness.

    Unequaled American Quality

I have several pens from Tactile and they have always impressed me. With this rendition I worked with customer service on a custom pen clip to accommodate this pen. The team here is truly one of a kind, and I cannot say how great and easy they are to work with.

    Sea'ing stars

This switch pen is solid and beautiful. The addition of the brass switch is a nice touch in keeping with the theme. My only ask/change would be to ship this pen with blue ink.

About Seasonal Releases

If you're tuned into our Limited Release drops of exotic treatments and materials, you probably noticed that they tend to sell out pretty fast. Seasonal Releases are much easier to get your hands on because, instead of a set quantity, they're available for a set period of time. No fast fingers required or having to dip out of that important work meeting to try and snag one from your phone in the bathroom.
