Based on the Magnus ClickShift™ V1, our version is rebuilt from the ground up to simplify production, tighten up the action, and improve the overall feel. The three-piece mechanism is machined grade 5 titanium and a C63000 bronze actuator switch to provide a smooth action while maintaining durability. It's the same diameter as our other slim pens and same refill compatibility as our short length. Enjoy!

How did this come about?
We first reached out to Magnus about the ClickShift pens he was making a while ago when the V1s were out of production and he had plans on making the V2s. We followed up in early 2024 to see if he'd be interested in licensing the mechanism and, thankfully, he agreed. We think the mechanism is one of the coolest ones around and we're excited to bring our version in production.
What do you look for in mechanisms?
When Will saw the Mitsubishi Boxy pens a few years ago he immediately wanted to do an all-metal version so we made it happen with the Side Click. Since then, we've been on the lookout for mechanisms that meet three basic requirements: 1) Manufacturable, 2) Reliable, 3) Satisfying/Fidgety. It's fairly easy to get one or two of those things but much harder to do all three.
Why just one length and diameter?
We're keeping things simple for launch with only one size and material. This mechanism is a little longer than the Bolt Actions or Side Clicks so we felt it'd be too long if we did it in the Pilot G2 size. We might do other variants in the future but, at least for now, wanted to gauge interest with titanium.

I really struggled with the rating that I gave this pen. Like a lot of you, I saw this model and really, really wanted it — but it was out of stock. I bided my time, and when the next batch dropped I snapped one up! So excited!
I finally receive it and wow — it’s beautiful! Flick the switch, very satisfying. Test scribble, not bad…I wonder what cartridge came in it, then omg what have I done?!? All the parts spilled out, nooo!!!
“But wait, if I just kind of….” And it worked, I dumped the parts back in the body in roughly the same order they spilled out and with a little coaxing, it was working again. o_0
What a ride! Seriously though, this is a great pen, and an amazing mechanism that I hope we haven’t seen the last of. Parts are top shelf, machining and fit is great (as usual with Tactile Turn), and the selection of inks you can run is vast. The only reason I gave four stars is, admittedly, a selfish one — I’m a big guy with big hands and the slim profile that they use on this model is more difficult for me to write with for longer periods. I use it for jotting, quick forms, and signatures mostly, but it’s not a journaling pen for me. Make it in the larger diameter and it’s an easy five star for me!

Fantastic fidget toy. Ergonomics are what you'd expect from a Tactile Turn. Can't stop at just one.

Awesome pen, mechanism is very nice! I've never had a "slim" pen from you, I think I like it even better than the standard?
Maybe the switch could be in seasonal releases, or special finishes at some point.

Love the fit/feel of the slim version of the pen, and the fidget factor on is a 10/10. Blows the side-click pen away.

You always remember your first! The Tactile Switch is my first jump into EDC, IMO generational keepsake pens.
I came across this unique pen after seeing the Original Mangas design.
As this is my first and honesty don't know anything about high quality pens the Switch style opening drew me to this pen over other styles.
Great craftsmanship and fitment is perfect and precise!
Great feel in your hand and you just can't stay away from that lovely sound of the Switch!!
