Depending on which end of the plank you're on, there's a certain allure about being a pirate. Something about the sense of adventure from setting sail across the open sea in search of treasure, free from taxation but always in peril. The Buccaneer is our attempt to capture that childlike excitement without the shipwrecks, maroonings, and well, all the plundering and other bad stuff.
Our crew of ruthless painters toiled in the brig for months to get the perfect wood grain finish to anchor the design with a pop of red in the bolt channel, real 24kt gold plated bolt, Jolly Roger top cap, and weathered treasure map on the clip. Hoist the mainsail, batten down the hatches, and yo ho ho with a bottle of rum.
To make this release extra special we included a real 24 karat gold plated stainless steel bolt (titanium doesn't work as well). No need to get dirty digging for treasure when you've got some gold right in your pocket.
Choose from three lengths of our most popular model – the Titanium Bolt Action pen. The Buccaneer is available in Standard (Pilot G2 0.7mm), Short (Schmidt EasyFlow 9000), or Mini (Pilot G2 0.7mm Mini) lengths. Plenty of options for the discerning cartographer or crustacean.
Cerakote is a thin coating of ceramic that's applied to the surface of our titanium pens. It's abrasion, chemical, temperature, and scratch-resistant but not proof. Wear will show with time and use.
The theme is great and carried out well. The bolt action works great on both my standard and short models, and the G2 refill works great. I prefer a gel like the G2 so I will be replacing the ballpoint cartridge with a gel version. I do use a short with bolt action and ballpoint when I travel in case I need a pen to fill out forms. I also like the clip on both the standard and short models because they work great—with some other versions of the short model the clip is so stiff that it is not usable. All said, I recommend trying out the Roswell if the theme speaks to you, you cannot beat the build quality in any Tactile Turn pen.

Love it - it gets compliments
Love the pen. As someone that uses their pen a lot every day, Tactile Turn has become my go-to place for my EDC pens. My staff jokes about how much I spend on pens, but they are college kids and don't understand spending money on quality things you use every day.
I have only gotten special editions, but love the customer service you provide. When my Buccaneer had issues, you fixed it right away at no charge. Plus I love you didn't send me a new one. I use my pens in the service industry and every scratch is like a memory.
I do however have 1 issue
I love the mini length. Since you did not offer the Rosewell in mini I went with short. This now requires 2 different refills to buy. Not that big of a deal, but do prefer the mini length, and I know that is a personal preference.
Can we get more mini options?!?!
BTW cannot emphasis enough how much I love the fact that you post what refills fit each length, plus whether you have to trim or not. Shows you are about the craftsmanship of your pen, and thats what matters, not about making a few extra bucks on refills.

This is my forth pen from tactile turn, and my favorite. The weight is great, the color is awesome, the personality of this pen is amazing. Great quality, and so unique. It is my every day pen, and I love every minute of it.

I am absolutely blown away by the Tactile Turn Roswell pen. The attention to detail on this pen is incredible, from the intricately engraved solar system on the high-polish titanium body to the brilliant green lumen inlays that glow under UV light. The standout feature is easily the miniature flying saucer bolt action—it is incredibly satisfying to deploy and doubles as the perfect tactile fidget tool. It balances perfectly in the hand, offering a substantial grip without feeling heavy, and it writes like an absolute dream. Tactile Turn really hit it out of the park with this retro sci-fi theme. If you appreciate top-tier craftsmanship and a unique aesthetic, this pen is worth every single penny!

If you're tuned into our Limited Release drops of exotic treatments and materials, you probably noticed that they tend to sell out pretty fast. Seasonal Releases are much easier to get your hands on because, instead of a set quantity, they're available for a set period of time. No fast fingers required or having to dip out of that important work meeting to try and snag one from your phone in the bathroom.
