Because the surfaces of both the interior part and the inside surface have been carefully machined to be extra smooth, the action feels amazingly satisfying. The Standard [5.6"] comes with a Pilot G2 0.7 mm refill, the Short [5.1"] comes with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium refill, and the Mini [4.4"] comes with a Pilot G2 Mini 0.7mm refill. Many of our customers like to use their own personal favorites, however, and so we put together a list of compatible refills that work with our pens.

And there are four options to choose from: titanium, copper, bronze, and zirconium. We picked those four because they're popular, fun to machine, and can withstand a lifetime of use.

TITANIUM

Tough, lightweight, extremely corrosion resistant, and the best-selling material we work with. If this is your first Tactile Turn product, we recommend starting with titanium.

COPPER

One of the few metallic elements with a natural color other than gray or silver. Naturally antimicrobial, copper will patina and darken with time and use.

BRONZE

Consisting mostly of copper, tin, and other metals like aluminum, manganese, nickel, or zinc. Bronze machines beautifully and looks great when highly polished or with some patina.

ZIRCONIUM

Directly below titanium on the periodic table with similar corrosion resistance. Zirconium is difficult to machine and one of the most expensive materials we work with but lustrous, dark grey color looks amazing.

    A Great Graduation or Professional Gift

    I received a Tactile Turn upon my graduation from college, and it's my favorite pen to use in grad school. I love its weight and compatibility with a wide range of ink refills - my favorite is the Pentel Energel, and it's an easy modification to get it to fit. I recently bought another pen to gift to a friend for their graduation from law school, and I love the customization options to honor her new title as JD! A great gift for a new grad to celebrate their achievement, and one they'll use for years and years.

    TITANIUM PEN - PERFECT GIFT!

    My Son bought me this Pen a few years ago for Mother's Day with the engraving "I Love You Mom". When I asked him what he wanted for his Birthday, he asked for this pen. As a professional, it's a perfect pen. It is etched / engraved and excellent if you need to work outside or in bad weather as it provides an easy no slip grip. The writing is smooth, consistent, and clean. The engraving is perfect as no one can see this pen and not know it's yours. The titanium increases the quality and durability. The only downside I've found is it's a little heavy. I will absolutely continue purchasing this pen for gifts.

    Great product!

    My favorite pen. Definitely needed an ink upgrade, but the pen itself is excellent. Got the copper, and can't wait to get the full-length stonewash.
