These Aluminum versions are lighter than the popular Titanium Apollos, faster to machine which means lower in cost, and come with the Nichia 519a LED. The CWF driver offers 3 modes (low, medium, and high) with no programmability. Made from hardened 7075 aluminum, the flashlights are coated with durable, Cerakote paint that is abrasion, chemical, temperature, and scratch-resistant but not proof. Hard wear will still show on Cerakote over time and use but using it is kind of the point.
Note: International orders ship without the battery

Ordered on a Monday came in by Tuesday! I mean that's fast!! For a light that's over two bills in aluminum better be great, right? Well, it's an awesome light. Perfect for my every day work needs and it's coated in a tough ceracote so it can be dropped from oh let's say waist height and only have little to no scuff marks. Then the 4500k led gives the right amount of cold/warm balance so its easy on the eyes, for me at least. Thanks Tactile Turn & the folks over at CWF for this product.

Lightweight, well made, love the functionality. Can’t wait to see how long the battery life runs with normal light use.

First have owned three Apollo lights. A bronze and titanium which I no longer have and the aluminum which I has become my primary carry light. I like the three modes and they are well spaced. It carries well and is smaller than most other 14500 based lights. However, the non aluminum Apollos can be slippery in the hand. I was always concerned they might (note that they never did) slip out of my hand when trying to activate the tail switch. That concern no longer exists as the finish on the aluminum models is significantly more grippy than the non aluminum models. Carried the aluminum now for several weeks and consider them so superior to the other metals, that I sold the Titanium and Bronze versions. My recommendation is get the aluminum while they still have them. Definitely best of breed.

I ordered one of these somewhat on impulse and I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed when I got it in hand. Size, shape, and machining all feel great. It’s compact and crazy lightweight. A joy to use and plenty powerful in the lumen department. I don’t know enough about all the technical details to geek out on drivers, etc. but suffice to say, for the average EDC user, this is a perfect flashlight.

This is a nifty little flashlight. Seems very well made, right weight and heft while being very light, the right size for EDC if you want to carry a flashlight everyday. Very powerful. It is about the size of one of your fingers. On the highest setting, it does get warm. The middle setting is plenty bright and balances the heat. The lowest setting isn't very bright, but I imagine will shine a long time. The black painted aluminum is very nice but I still look forward to the titanium being back in stock.
